Amani Friend and the music he creates as Liquid Bloom has inspired me on many journeys. This is some of my favorite music. His musical compositions deeply resonate within me on a soulful level. In these changing and challenging times, this music grounds me, inspires me, gives me hope for humanity and lifts me up to the next level of consciousness.

I feel so safe and at ease and able to surrender journeying with the tunes you’ve made. You have a way of tapping in to that timeless energy, some of your songs sound so old, thousands of years old. Primordial. It’s incredible the way music unites people. It’s so refreshing to have that sonic companionship in the journey of life. The rhythm of the dance floor with the stillness and steadiness of a deep meditation… 🤍 music for the path less followed.

the Kuya Sessions series is beyond incredible. This intentional music really took me deep into my nervous system and ancestral lines. Each of them so unique, they each bring up such different experiences. What Akasha stirred within me was the tension and fear I was holding in my nervous system around my sense of safety in the world, connected to my throat and root. These symphony of sounds offered a safe space for my nervous system to shake and tremor it out and ground deeper into my body. Especially when the male vocals were present. It was deeply healing for me to hear such warmth, and felt so held by his voice which allowed me to go deeper into that experience of letting go and surrender. Felt with the depths of my heart, and the rivers down my cheek, I could feel his love through his voice touching the areas I needed to heal and nurture. A blessing to feel so deeply. In moments, I was being shown visions of my ancestors, countless of them, but all the women. They were all standing in two rows facing me, holding their arms out as if they were all wanting to embrace me as I fly through the center. I felt their love and guidance in inviting me to relate deeper with them, and to soften into my relationship with the world. It was quite vivid, and feeling their essence felt very eerie yet beautiful, very peculiar yet profound. It was inarticulate, indefinable and ineffable, but to say the least it was very mystical to meet my lineage in spirit, and to have them there awaiting my presence to greet me. I have since felt my connection with them undeniably stronger, and have dove deeper into my Celtic bloodline and what it all means to me in my heart. Thank you for bringing us deeper within ourselves, deeper within our stories for the sake of healing and letting go, and for bringing us deeper into our relating with the world together as we journey beside one another. Throughout all these journeys you have blessed us with, the underlying message I continue to receive is the remembrance of how truly deeply liberated I am, how free my soul is, and how beautiful it is to be alive. This is delicious medicine you are providing to the world, thank you both for sharing these with us. I am still currently feeling the ripples from the shifts I had during this journey even months later, and am just overall so very stoked that these exist in the world. I wish you all the very best, and for life’s bliss and light to shine fully in your life.

I just want to share with you my DEEPEST gratitude for your 4 KUYA SESSIONS. I am a therapist here in Vienna and doing underground work with substances. I used your sessions already multiple times in my own journeys and with other people. Yesterday I had an own journey again – traveling through all of the 4 KUYA Sessions. It’s just amazing how your music guideds me once again to places I have never been before. PLEASE PLEASE keep on releasing those kind of sessions. They are SO valuable for the work. In my experience – leading people especially to those early stages of life that need healing and that they can not remember in the brain but are only accessible through body memory that is triggered by your music. I have such appreciation and gratitude for your work. PLEASE KEEP IT UP! With lots of LOVE and SO MUCH GRATITUDE,

Back in 2009 during my USA tour, musician friend of mine Alex Theory (signed with the label White Swan Records), gifted me with the CD “Shaman’s eye” by Liquid Bloom (signed with the same label), I wasn’t aware about this act at the time but I was looking forward to listen to this album. Then something quite magic happened: a friend in San Francisco just finished to build an amazing, brand new, beautiful sauna and asked me if I wanted to be the first to try it out, I accepted and I walked in with the soundtrack from that album…., It was the perfect way to listen to it. I kept my eyes closed for the all duration of the album in order to experience the sonic ealing effect in its totality, I was completely isolated from the external world, while my body was purifying its toxins I had a full body and mind experience…. I was flying as I was under the effect of psycho-active substances, but I wasn’t at all! I became an instant fan of Liquid Bloom, then subsequently I met Amani at one of my gigs -without knowing that was him the man behind that beautiful music concept- and became very close friends since 😉 That sauna experience for me was something that I will always remember! Thanx Liquid Bloom. One Love

I like the way the music is densely layered. The entryways of the pieces brim with currents of sound – symbols, none of which lingers long enough for me to grasp before it disappears into my body. I feel my body begin to restructure, in a way. It dawns, as the piece moves continually forward, that all the subtle variations are more felt sound (spanda) than heard sound. They have become the floor under my feet, the substratum of my trance. This, in turn, opens the clear space in my heart … the place where things are revealed. I am in the music; in each sound there is oneness … there is space.

I feel obligated to send you a message of thanks after your music (Liquid Bloom) practically saved my life the other day. I struggle with PTSD and deal with extreme panic attacks. Tuesday I was at work and my chest began to cave in, leaving me with a fully numb left arm, one of those heavy ones. As my brain stopped misfiring I suddenly pulled out my phone and the only thing I could mutter was “Hey Siri, play Liquid Bloom.” The instant the first sound came out it triggered me to control my breathing. It helped center my mind and control my heart rate. Without that I could have easily been in an ambulance. As an artist you might get a lot of “OMG YOU’RE MUSIC SAVED MY LIFE!” but I want this message to be as sincere as possible. The impact you already have made in my life was incredible and I cannot thank you enough for your gift of sound that has helped me through some of the hardest times of my life. I feel I owe you the world. From the depths of my heart, thank you. Your friend,

Working with you and your CD’s has been a very positive tool for continuing change in my life. I am extremely grateful. For years I have sought help and done many workshops in order to be released from negative thoughts that have kept me stuck in old behavioral patterns. In October of 2005 I began work with Bente Friend who introduced me to The Shaman’s Eye. The music on this CD uses ancient rhythms, native chants, blended with present day instrumental music and sounds of nature that we can use to heal our wounded souls. We are part of a universe that is all vibration. Self doubt & fear have given way to trusting in my power and truth to be present to positive changes in my daily life.

Shaman’s Eye is a doorway to the wisdom of your soul. As you listen to the music it quickly transports you back to a time before time, a wisdom before words, allowing you to tap into the deepest wisdom of your soul. Images appear, the Old Ones surround you and the path home magically unfolds. All that from a CD — Pretty amazing!!

I have suffered from serious major depression for 5 years now. I’ve been hospitalised numerous times, had almost every medication under the sun, and even Electro Convulsive Therapy. But nothing was working to help me discover the root cause. That was until one day, in the depths of my darkest hours, I lay down and put on The Face Of Love. I closed my eyes and went on a journey through myself that verged on the ineffable. The perfectly crafted journey allowed me to gently reach deeper into myself, to recognise and acknowledge the traumas and insecurities that were causing my extreme mental distress, and to then gently let them go. It allowed me to be thankful for the knowledge imparted on me by such difficult times, and unlocked in me a passion to want to help others experiencing mental illness. Through this one experience of listening to The Face Of Love, I have gone from being dangerously suicidal with no hope for the future, to re-engaging with my true self again and finding my purpose. I’m now studying to be a Disability worker, with the eventual goal of becoming a Mental Health Nurse. I know now that through my own lived experience, I can help others to pull themselves back from the edge. So in saving my life, the effect will now flow out into the lives of those that I work with in the future. This is Blooming at it’s best!
Experiencing a Liquid Bloom live show recently in Australia just solidified that I am now following my true path. True visionary music, designed to unlock one’s true potential. Forever in debt to Amani Friend for the gift of his existence.

Liquid Bloom was the sonic accompaniment for much the laboring process with my son, keeping me deeply grounded and connected to the primal elements of breath and sound.

The Liquid Bloom project is something very special to me. The sonic space which is created has offered me deep experiences of inner journeying and creative inspiration in my own process of musical expression. Allowing myself to float away on the textures of this project has opened new doors of possibilities and has shown me the potentials of the depths that can be touched through an offering of music to the world. Thanks Amani.

I have spent more than a few hours in deep meditation with Liquid Bloom playing in the background. I have found myself in deep states repeatedly with this combination – and now that a path is set, just playing the music brings me to a connected, peaceful place. So good!
