Tea Here Now

Tea Here Now is a 12-minute collaboration between Liquid Bloom and Akriza, born from an unexpected reunion in Peru’s Sacred Valley last winter.

.

Longtime friends, the two gathered for a morning tea ceremony, and by the fourth cup, the inspiration was clear: to create a musical journey inspired by the spirit and ritual of tea.

.

Over five immersive days, every sound was recorded and crafted from scratch, weaving together the Japanese vocals of Madi Sato, tabla by Nacho of the Sacred Valley, shakuhachi by Root Flute, African ngoni, guitar, piano, hand percussion, and even the intimate foley sounds of the tea ceremony itself.

.

Beginning as a spacious ambient meditation, the piece gradually blossoms into organic downtempo grooves, unfolding across two interconnected acts. Experienced separately or as one continuous 12-minute journey, Tea Here Now is an invitation to slow down, arrive fully in the present, and discover the quiet magic hidden within the simple ritual of sharing tea.
