Liquid Bloom returns with two deeply immersive remixes of ‘Gaia Ma’ and ‘Afepakian’ from Deva Premal’s The Inevitable Blossoming of the Heart, bringing together sacred vocal traditions, organic instrumentation and contemporary electronic production.

The remixes also mark a significant creative reunion. After 14 years apart, Amani Friend (Liquid Bloom) reconnected with Rara Avis in Peru, where they rediscovered their musical partnership through Deva Premal, Miten and Joby Baker’s work. Infused with the expansive spirit of Peru’s Sacred Valley, these remixes honour the original recordings while opening them into new sonic landscapes.

On “Gaia Ma,” Liquid Bloom and Rara Avis expand the devotional mantra into a spacious, atmospheric journey — *a deep honouring of Mother Earth* and a celebration of love, gratitude, inner wisdom and the sacred feminine.

“Afepakian,” co-created with Costa Rican musician Daniel Mora, draws on the ancient ocarina, natural field recordings and the indigenous Maleku language, creating a powerful sense of place and ancestral connection.
